Thaddeus Shuler, President of Southern Lumber & Millwork Corporation, has a rich background blending international experience and local expertise. After earning his BS in Industrial Management with a German minor from Clemson University, Thad gained valuable global insight working with Lidl, a grocery retailer in Germany. When he returned home to Charleston, South Carolina, Thad began working for his family’s business, Southern Lumber and Millwork Corporation. After working in various roles, he assumed the role of President & CEO in 2016. Driving the company's mission to commit to excellence, innovation, and service, the company has embraced technology through investments in millwork technologies, an ordering app, and a customer portal. Thad’s commitment to excellence and service extends to his past roles on the Clemson University Wood Utilization Department Board and Chairman of the Building Materials Supplier Association. Currently, Thad serves on the Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation’s Education Committee and the board of The Bank of South Carolina.
