Virginia Lewis is the Vice President of Tart Lumber Company, Inc. in Sterling, Virginia. Tart Lumber was founded in 1951 by her Grandfather Lynwood Tart, which has given her the opportunity to grow up in the building materials industry. She joined the company fully time after college as a salesman, and since has managed the Design Showroom, worked as Operations Manager, and implemented Epicor’s Bistrack for Tart. She is frequently sought out for her expertise in window and doors, and still enjoys assisting customers with their projects. Currently, Virginia has taken on inventory management and is working on a merchandising reset for the hardware store.
Virginia has been proud to be a member of the Lumberman’s Merchandising Corporation (LMC) 21st Century leaders (formerly “Aspiring Leaders) program since 2016. In 2017 she attended the LMC’s Wharton School of Business program and is currently a member of the 21st Century Leaders Committee for 2023-24. In 2023 she joined the NLBMDA for their legislative conference at Capitol Hill.
Signed by Clemson University for their NCAA Women’s Rowing Team, she attended the university and completed a Major in Business Management with a focus in Information Systems and a Minor in Legal Studies. In her free time, Virginia has been renovating her 1920 Bungalow in Purcellville, Virginia. She is a youth leader in her church and enjoys spending time with her Husband Eli and their dog Bella.
