National Economic Update & Insights into Federal Monetary Policy

Dr. David E. Altig the Executive Vice President and Chief Economic Adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will share his insights on current economic conditions and the Federal Reserve’s role in the economy. As the nation’s central bank, the Federal Reserve is responsible for monetary policy, providing financial services, and supervising financial institutions. During this session attendees will embark on an insightful journey to unravel the last several months of economic activity and gain perspective on whether the Federal Reserve successfully attained the elusive “soft leading” it had hoped for. Altig will also provide a national economic forecast and discuss key performance indicators for the remainder of the 2024 and peek into what the future holds. Additional topics will include GDP, inflation, interest rates, housing market, monetary policy, and unemployment.
